Interest Rates Hiked

नई दिल्ली। डाकघर में छोटी मोटी बचत करने वाले लाखों लोगों को भी अब अधिक ब्याज का लाभ मिलेगा। सरकार ने डाकघर बचत खाते और मासिक आय योजना पर अधिक ब्याज देने की घोषणा की है।

शुक्रवार को जारी सरकारी विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार डाकघर बचत खाते पर ब्याज दर 3.5 प्रतिशत से बढाकर चार प्रतिशत कर दी गई है जबकि मासिक आय योजना और लोक भविष्य निधि [पीपीएफ] पर अब क्रमश 8.2 प्रतिशत और 8.6 प्रतिशत सालाना दर से ब्याज दिया जाएगा।

एक साल की सावधि जमा पर सबसे ज्यादा ब्याज बढ़ाया गया है। इसे 6.25 प्रतिशत से बढ़ाकर 7.7 प्रतिशत कर दिया गया है। दूसरी परिपक्वता अवधि की जमाओं पर भी ब्याज दर में वृद्धि की गई है। सरकार ने इसके साथ ही किसान विकास पत्र [केवीपी] को बंद करने का फैसला लिया है।

विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार नई ब्याज दरें इस संबंध में अधिसूचना जारी होने के दिन से लागू होंगी। अधिसूचना जल्द जारी की जाएगी। विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार राष्ट्रीय बचत पत्र [एनएससी] और मासिक आय योजना की परिपक्वता अवधि को छह वर्ष से घटाकर पांच साल कर दिया गया है।

इसके अलावा दस साल की परिपक्वता अवधि वाले राष्ट्रीय बचत पत्र जारी करने का भी फैसला किया गया है। डाकघर बचत योजनाओं पर ब्याज दरों में वृद्धि का यह निर्णय रिजर्व बैंक की पूर्व डिप्टी गवर्नर श्यामला गोपीनाथ की अध्यक्षता में गठित समिति की सिफारिशों के अनुरुप लिया गया है। इससे लघुबचत योजनाओं को भी बाजार दर के अनुरुप आकर्षक बनाने में मदद मिलेगी और आम जनता को बेहतर रिटर्न उपलब्ध हो सकेगा।

Amendment in CCS (Leave) Rules 1972

The Central Government has amended the leave rules from time to time according to the situation in Government services. When unusual type with clarifications and doubts has been received from various Departments/Ministries by the Dopt, they consult with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in relation to persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, finally the amendment in CCS Rules has been approved by the President of India.

In recently, after 6th CPC more than three times amendment has made in these rules. In the middle of this year the Department of Personnel and Training issued an notification related to the above said matter, an amendment has been made in the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972 in rule 27 in sub rule (2), for clause (b), the following clauses may be substituted, namely:-

“(b) When a Government servant is removed or dismissed from service, credit of earned leave shall be allowed at the rate of 2¹⁄₂ days per completed calendar month up to the end of the calendar month preceding the calendar month in which he is removed or dismissed from service :

(c) When a Government Servant dies while in service, credit of earned leave shall be allowed at the rate of 2¹⁄₂ days per completed month of service up to the date of death of the Government Servant.”

3. In the said rules, in rule 29, in sub-rule (2), for clause (c), the following clauses shall be substituted, namely :-

“(c) When a Government servant is removed or dismissed from service, credit of half pay leave shall be allowed at the rate of 5/3 days per completed calendar month up to the end of the calendar month preceding the calendar month in which he is removed or dismissed from service :

(ca) When a Government Servant dies while in service, credit of half pay leave shall be allowed at the rate of 5/3 days per completed month of service up to the date of death of the Government Servant.
